Daily update is a quick, efficient meeting for teammates to provide status updates on work and project progress. Teams often conduct a daily update meeting via an asynchronous chat tool so that team members can participate from wherever they are, eliminating the need to schedule a recurring synchronous meeting and improving overall productivity.
To enable daily updates in your Action, configure one of your Action’s intents as the triggering intent for this feature. When users invoke this intent, your Action should automatically open a conversation and ask for their daily update. You can personalize the content of this conversation by adding custom parameters that users can submit when they register for daily updates.
When you enable daily updates, your Action will send Assistant notifications to users at their scheduled time each day. To test daily updates, invoke your Action and then check your device’s notification center at the scheduled update time. To avoid receiving too many notifications, you can also enable a subscription prompt that appears mid-conversation or as a suggestion chip when the user exits your Action successfully. If you offer a subscription prompt, make sure that it makes sense to the user who jumps straight to this intent. Avoid offering a subscription prompt too often or in too many contexts to prevent your users from becoming overwhelmed and tuning out the prompt altogether.
